Nulx documentation

Getting Started

Understand the current Nulx Linux release state and the safe path to a future Beta.

Current release state

Nulx Linux is in private development. The first public Beta is being prepared, but no public ISO is available yet. Any internal build, screenshot, hash, or filename seen outside this website must not be treated as a release.

What Nulx is

Nulx Linux is a Debian-based cybersecurity distribution designed around both offensive and defensive security workflows. The desktop, command suite, installer, and reviewed tool profiles are being developed as one cohesive platform.

What has been verified

Testing stops at authentication. Installed-session package and diagnostics review, broader accessibility review, installer-profile integration, physical hardware coverage, and Secure Boot remain future validation gates.

  • Generation 2 UEFI live boot in the primary Hyper-V target
  • Nulx-branded KDE Plasma desktop and live lock screen
  • Runtime application of the Obsidian, Aurora, Ember, and Frost appearance themes
  • Initial active/inactive tiled-window legibility in every appearance theme
  • Clean-disk installation with Calamares on the current exact candidate
  • Direct boot from the installed virtual disk to the Nulx login screen without the automatic virtual keyboard
  • Live networking and the Nulx command-suite surface
  • Isolated installation of all 57 approved package routes with the fail-closed service policy
  • Independent clean-system package acceptance for every selectable team profile

Safe next step
