Development images are built for 64-bit Intel and AMD systems. The public ISO is not available yet.
Hardware and virtual machines
What has been tested.
Nulx currently targets x86-64 computers. Hyper-V and VirtualBox are the main beta test environments. Results below come from development builds, not an approved final ISO.
ARM64 planned
A separate ARM64 edition is planned after the amd64 public beta. No ARM64 image is available.
UEFI first
Secure Boot was enabled in the tested Hyper-V installation. Final-image boot and kernel-update acceptance remain open. This does not establish compatibility with every device or firmware.
Beta requirements pending
Development testing uses 8 GB RAM and an 80 GB virtual disk. Final requirements will be measured with the complete installed tool set.
Install verified
Clean live boot, Calamares installation, ISO ejection, direct virtual-disk boot, and Nulx greeter arrival passed.
Live session tested
An earlier image passed UEFI live boot, desktop, appearance, installer launch, lock screen, and login-screen checks. A clean installation test remains.
Not tested
The QEMU, VirtIO, and SPICE integration path is implemented. A real Proxmox host must pass the full install procedure.
Outside this beta test scope
There is no verified VMware installation result. Current beta testing focuses on Hyper-V and VirtualBox.
Live tests in progress
Focused live-session package and desktop tests have passed. A fresh final-ISO installation, reboot, and stability checks remain.
Check your platform
Shared drivers do not guarantee compatibility. Each supported platform needs an installation and disk-boot test using the exact release image.
