Hyper-V
The current Hyper-V test baseline and its limits.
Completed baseline
An earlier development candidate passed Generation 2 live boot, clean installation, ISO removal, direct disk boot and installed-session checks. It also passed lock, unlock and return to the login screen. The final beta must repeat these checks.
Test configuration
These are development settings, not final minimum requirements. Secure Boot was enabled in the tested Hyper-V installation. Boot and kernel-update checks still need to pass on the final release image.
- Hyper-V Generation 2 with UEFI
- Four virtual processors
- A new empty virtual disk
- Current development sizing: 8 GB RAM and 80 GB disk
Keep testing isolated
Use a disposable VM and avoid production credentials or important disks. Only assess systems you own or have permission to test.
