Before you begin

No public installer image is available. This guide describes the planned flow. Final disk and memory requirements will be measured with the complete tool set.

Installation checklist

• Read the official release notes and known issues.
• Download the ISO through the official release and verify its signed manifest, checksum and signature.
• Back up important files and identify the target disk.
• Boot the live environment and check display, storage, keyboard and networking.
• Open Install Nulx Linux and review every partition change.
• Install, remove the ISO, then boot from the installed disk.

Partitioning can erase data. Do not proceed unless you have identified the correct disk and understand the changes.

Included tools and later updates

The beta is intended to install its accepted tool set with the OS. Additional compatible packages should use the documented package manager. Not every third-party DEB is compatible with every system.

Nulx AI has passed an in-place package upgrade on the installed test system, preserving other packages and its saved account. The signed public update channel and release-wide upgrade and recovery checks are still being prepared.
